Our Story

2019 — The Beginning

Light of Nations was born in 2019 out of the vision of a young student, Sion Nshimirimana, who, while still in high school, witnessed how the rise of social media and digital platforms was shaping lives in Burundi and across East Africa — often in ways that pulled people away from faith and purpose.

The Spark

With nothing but passion and conviction, he gathered youth together and began performing faith-based theater in churches. What started as small gatherings quickly grew into a powerful movement.

0
people encountered Christ through those early performances — a movement fueled by faith, story, and the conviction that the Gospel transforms lives.
Growing Vision

As Sion matured, he gained experience in international nonprofits, working in communications and digital media. Yet his heart carried a burden — he saw a generation losing Christian values, and a church struggling to adapt to the digital age.

Today — Formally Established

Out of that burden, he reignited the vision and formally established Light of Nations Global: a faith-based nonprofit committed to bridging timeless Gospel truth with modern storytelling.

Our Mission

Our Call

We believe stories can awaken hearts and transform lives. In a world filled with distraction and shifting values, Light of Nations Global stands as a beacon — calling this generation to pause, reflect, and rediscover hope in Christ.

Every short film, every outreach, every act of compassion is more than content — it is an invitation to encounter the living God.
